Ben Rees (UNC ’22) spent his Community Summer in Whitesburg, Kentucky working for Homes, Inc. helping to provide housing rehabilitation and repair services to families in need. Although, initially skeptical about how the experience would tie into his plans for medical school, Ben shares in this article for Academic Medicine: Journal of the Association of American Medical Colleges exactly how the experience helped shaped him for a career as a doctor.
