What drew you to the Robertson Program?

The opportunity to be surrounded by driven, dedicated, and diverse scholars as well as the opportunity to study and learn from the amazing faculty and both UNC and Duke. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. More and more, I feel like part of the Robertson community and hope to continue to work with my fellow Robertsons and alumni to benefit the world.

How has your experience with the Robertson shaped your goals and career path?

The Robertson program has given me the opportunity to aggressively pursue a wide variety of interests both academically and outside the classroom. It’s impossible to overstate how much I’ve learned between the opportunities the program has provided and the stimulating and genuine discussions with other scholars. It has spurred reflection and motivation, high hopes and personal development – and all that within the first year! I can’t wait to see where the next few years take me.

What has been your favorite Robertson moment so far?

There’s a lot to choose from – I’d be remiss not to mention examples like the NOLS trip and the dinners with Chancellor Guskiewicz or various professors. However, my favorite Robertson moments have been the unscripted, untraditional ones. The many late-night discussions over getting into classes, the meaning of life, and where the future lies. The late-night and early-morning run-ins at the library or bus rides or restaurants. The little experiences, conversations, and fleeting moments that the winds of time attempt to erode from our memory will not be forgotten, but cherished forever.
