Sarah Rutherford (UNC ’15) to Introduce Sen. Warren at Harvard Law Commencement
The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program would like to congratulate Sarah Rutherford (UNC ’15) on being selected to introduce Senator Elizabeth Warren during this year’s commencement ceremonies for Harvard Law School.
Nine Class Marshals, of which Sarah is one, collected recommendations from Harvard Law’s Class of 2021 to select a Class Day Speaker. This year Class Day will take place virtually on May 26, 2021.
According to Sarah, “Senator Warren represents the best of Harvard Law School. Her demonstrated intellectual accomplishments, commitment to service, and unwavering integrity are sure to inspire those who attend Class Day. During our time at Harvard Law School, few people have shaped cultural, political, and historical conversation more than Senator Warren. We are excited for her to send us off as HLS graduates.”
For Sarah being selected to introduce Senator Warren is the perfect end to her law school experience, “I am thrilled to be introducing Senator Warren at Harvard Law School’s commencement ceremony. The celebration is the culmination of years of personal exploration and development, as well as mentorship and service. My law school journey has been indelibly shaped by the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program –both in terms of the opportunities the program presented me with and the people, who inspired me to pursue law, counseled me on my career, and continuously supported my endeavors.”
After graduation Sarah will begin practicing law at Cravath, Swaine, & Moore in New York City. Congratulations Sarah!
